Thank you all!!!

Well as most of my buddies on here know I have been having a hard time getting back into the weight loss mindset. I had a miscarriage a little over a month ago and things have been hard since then. I barely get off my butt most days and eat just whatever is easiest to cook (or microwave) most of the time.  I gained back more than I ever wanted to see on that scale, but I am mentally and physically ready to get this back on track.    I started a weight loss journal today. I decided to do one I actually write versus an online one because I think the writing itself helps calm me down for some reason. I have looked up some ideas on what to include in your journal but I was wondering if any of my buddyslim friends had any suggestions for me. What do you include in your journal and what are some important things that I might need to include that can help me on this journey?     I appreciate all of you that have helped me through all of these hardtimes I have had. I could not be here without you and all of your support.  Now let the fun begin………

The end of my day!

Well let’s see how I did on day one of blogging my goals…..

My eating goals

Eat three meals and two snacks.    Got the three meals in. Having trouble with the snacks because I am just not hungry.  Will have to try harder tomorrow.

Get in all my water (at least 64 oz.)   Have in 48 so far when I finish this last bottle it will be 78 so YES!! Will have it in by bedtime.

Make sure to get fruits and veggies (at least one of each during the day) Yes! Had tropical fruit salad and green beans.

Journal all food intake (need to make sure I get to my recommended caloric intake-around 1800 i believe)  Actually did this. I am shocked. I went over my calorie goal but I journaled it so I am not gonna let it get me down. One step at a time right?

Exercise goals

Get in an am workout after dropping stepdaughter off at school (Walk Away The Pounds)  Done - 2 mile workout

Get one more workout in sometime during the day (maybe pilates)  Did not get this done. Lots of running around the house cleaning and going to the bank though….

Personal Goals

Get Laundry started today (way behind on this)  Got it goin….now gotta keep it up and get caught up.

Get kitchen and living area completely cleaned    They are not finished but definitely works in progress….Will be able to finish tomorrow

Play a little WII with my baby boy (I tell him no way too much)  He did not want to play with me today. :( . Sat and watched him play his sister’s princess game though. He was too cute!

Getting it together—–

I have been having a hard time lately sticking to the goals I give myself daily. I often post them in my weight loss challenge forum and rarely update on if I did them or not. So maybe with this larger audience I can make myself more accountable and get some stuff done.

The miracle of music

So today I went walking for the second time since I started my weight loss journey. Haven’t gone in a couple of days because of the rain. So I grabbed my walking shoes and my MP3 player and headed to the lake. And before I knew  it I had walked 2 miles. Wow who knew I could do that!!

So I think music is gonna be my new workout buddy!  Being in marching band for seven years has put the permanent impression into me that you walk on beat with the music. So I need to set up a playlist with my more upbeat songs and I am in business.

Working out has never been this fun or fulfilling! Could use ideas on inside workouts for rainy days though.

And it begins…

So I have decided (again) to get serious about this weight loss business.  I figure some kind of support system will help me stick with it and where better than to find a lot of people than the internet.

In April I had a miscarriage and I cant get it out of my head that my weight is why that happened.  So for my health and my future child’s health I am gonna be strong and change my eating habits and make it stick this time.

So thank you in advance to all of you that will help me through this transition.
